Bouwfonds Investment Management recently acquired an apartment complex with 70 units in Copenhagen for its Bouwfonds European Residential Fund (BERF). This acquisition is the ninth asset for BERF in Denmark. Bouwfonds IM acquired the property from Sveafastigheter, a leading Nordic property fund manager. The total transaction volume is approximately EUR 20 million.

The apartment complex is located in Ørestad at Edvard Thomsens Vej 7A-C, which is a prime residential area in Copenhagen with exciting architecture and in close proximity to the city center as well as Kastrup. This is a new developed area with modern architecture and good connections to the city center and the airport. The new U-Bahn connects Ørestad to the city center of Copenhagen in less than 10 minutes.

Xavier Jongen, Fund Director Bouwfonds European Residential Funds says, “Bouwfonds IM is extremely pleased with this purchase, since this acquisition is in line with our strategic goal of developing a portfolio of first-class residential properties in important city centres. This apartment complex is located in a prime location in Copenhagen and it is a valuable long-term addition to our residential portfolio.”
