Bouwfonds Investment Management has signed a rental agreement with Independer for approximately 4,000 m² of office space and 60 parking spaces at Lage Naarderweg 45-47 in Hilversum. The building, which for many years was known in Hilversum as the TROS building, is part of one of the Bouwfonds IM’s funds.

Before Independer moves into the building on 1 October, the offices will be modernised and adapted to the requirements of the modern office user.  The building will be made sustainable and Independer will take a number of additional measures itself to increase sustainability.

Independer is a mission-driven organisation that was founded in 1999 with the aim of making the financial world more transparent and more honest. With around 300 employees, it is the largest objective comparator, broker and advocate for consumers in the field of financial services.

“We’re really happy with this great building,” says Marie-Louise Stiemer-Verbeek, Independer’s HR Director. “Thanks to the layout and the location, Our new offices are not only very functional – we’ll also be able to create a very fine workplace here. For example, the building has lots of space for creativity, innovation and relaxation, which are an important part of our informal culture.”

Independer was advised by CBRE during the relocation procedure. “At Independer, employee satisfaction is a top priority. The future offices are ideal in that sense, particularly with the multifunctional outdoor space. As you can imagine, the fact that an empty building is being used by a prestigious home-grown Hilversum company is a very positive development for the city,” says Hiddo Kettenis, CBRE’s Associate Director.

The building is managed by Bilfinger Real Estate. Bouwfonds IM was advised by Cushman & Wakefield and Castanea.
